<span>This paper presents a novel shunt active power filter (SAPF). The converter that is used in this SAPF constructed from four-leg asymmetric multi-level cascaded H-bridge (CHB) inverter fed photovoltaic source. A three-dimensional space vector modulation (3D-SVPWM) technique adopted work. can generate 27-level output with harmonic content almost zero. In addition to the capability inject reactive and mitigating harmonics, proposed has also, ability real as it PV Moreover, fault-tolerant makes maintaining its operation under loss of one leg due an open-circuit fault without any degradation performance. designed simulated MATLAB SIMULINK using single nonlinear load results have shown significant reduction total harmonics distortion (THD) source current normal operating condition post failure phase SAPF. Also, similar are obtained when IEEE 15 bus network used.</span>
